The Elmed and Aylu applications are managed by ElmedSoft. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users while providing a fun and secure Kabyle learning experience.
1. Data Collection
We collect very little data. The information processed is as follows:
- Username (Pseudo): A username chosen by the user when creating their profile. It is used to personalize the experience and may be synchronized with our servers when an internet connection is available.
- Progress Data: Your achievements in levels and thematic modules are stored locally on your device to track your progress. This data may be synchronized with our servers to enable account recovery.
- Email Address: Only if you choose to register or enable account recovery.
- Voice Data: Interactive learning exercises use your device's microphone for pronunciation and voice recognition activities. Audio data is processed in real time, locally on your device. No audio data is recorded, stored, or transmitted to our servers or any third parties.
2. Microphone Usage (RECORD_AUDIO)
The Aylu app requests access to the microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO) only for interactive learning exercises available on the lesson screen.
- The microphone is never activated without an explicit user action within an exercise.
- Audio data is never recorded, stored, or shared.
- Audio processing is done exclusively on-device.
- No audio data is transmitted to ElmedSoft or any third-party service.
3. Use of Data
Data is used exclusively for:
- Enabling progressive level unlocking and saving progress.
- Personalizing the user experience (username, avatar, language).
- Enabling account recovery in case of device change.
- Improving the educational quality of our interactive exercises.
4. Storage and Security
Profile and progress data is stored securely, both locally on the device (via Android secure storage) and on our protected servers, only when an internet connection is available. In offline mode, all data is kept locally.
We do not sell, exchange, or transfer your personal information to third parties. Your progress data is deleted if you uninstall the application.
5. Cookies and Third-Party Services
Our website uses technical cookies to remember your language preference (French, English or Arabic). The mobile app may use third-party services (such as Google Play Services) for anonymous error reporting to ensure technical stability.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
In accordance with GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, and delete your data. You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app, or by using our account deletion request page.
